David Reina has extensive experience in a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, acquisition and construction financings, leases, and real estate fund formations. David represents various owners, operators, investors, developers, universities, landlords, tenants and managers in a broad range of transactional work for multifamily, build-for-rent, hospitality, office, industrial, university and mixed-use projects throughout North America. He often represents various corporate clients in real estate matters related to mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. David also represents high net-worth individuals in the day-to-day administration of their real estate holdings.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a client in the disposition of an investment in a portfolio of multifamily properties with over 18,000 units throughout the U.S.
  • Represented a client in the acquisition and financing of an eight-property portfolio of multifamily projects throughout the U.S.
  • Represented a client in the acquisition and financing of numerous hotel-to-multifamily conversion projects throughout the southeastern U.S.
  • Represented a client in the structuring and construction financing of a mixed-used condominium development project in Tampa, Florida.
  • Represented a hospitality client in the acquisition and financing of a mixed-use luxury hospitality and retail project in Napa Valley, California, including two hotels, a spa, a vineyard, meeting space, restaurants and shops.
  • Represented a hospitality client in the negotiation of a management agreement for a luxury hotel development in New York City.
  • Represented a hospitality client in its acquisition and financing of a 995+ key marquis-name luxury resort in south Florida, including negotiating the resort’s management and franchise agreements.  The representation also included negotiating a joint venture agreement between the buyer’s owners.
  • Represented a hospitality client in the refinancing of a three-pack of hotels in the Boston, MA area.
  • Represented a university client in the ongoing planning and execution of an expansion of its campus in the downtown Washington, DC area, including the acquisition and development of raw land.
  • Represented a publicly traded REIT in the leasing of Class A office space in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • Represented a publicly traded client in the $23 billion dollar global sale of its properties and loans, spanning various asset classes, including office, multifamily and hotel uses.
  • Represented a sponsor client in the formation and ongoing administration of a $300+ million private equity fund for hospitality investments, and the administration of earlier private equity funds.
