- About MMM
Matt San Roman is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Technology and Technology Transactions Practice Groups.
Mr. San Roman represents clients in connection with complex intellectual property and technology transactions issues related to corporate mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing arrangements, and the development, licensing, acquisition, distribution, and exploitation of intellectual property. Mr. San Roman regularly counsels clients across a range of industries including software, high-technology, blockchain, media, healthcare, manufacturing, and finance and has significant experience in negotiating and documenting intellectual property and information technology licensing and procurement agreements, hosting and cloud services agreements, transitional services and licensing agreements, consulting services and implementation agreements, collaboration agreements, and joint development arrangements. In addition, Mr. San Roman routinely advises clients on matters related to open source software licensing and use.
Prior to joining MMM, Mr. San Roman practiced in the Nashville office of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP. During this time, he spent significant time in-house with an international medial device manufacturing client focusing on the acquisition and licensure of key intellectual property and various technologies critical to the client's business.
Mr. San Roman received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was an associate editor for the Tennessee Law Review and clerked for the Tennessee Supreme Court while in school.
Mr. San Roman is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and the State of Tennessee and is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association.
