With more than a decade practicing law under his belt, Partner Chris Maxwell has closed approximately 300 M&A and venture capital transactions for clients across the U.S. and overseas.
Chris primarily focuses his practice on representing clients in middle-market corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He regularly represents private equity and venture capital firms and their portfolio companies, individual angel investors, angel investor networks, as well as venture capital-backed founder and family-owned businesses.
He enjoys working with early-stage tech companies, adding value, making introductions to sources of capital and helping through the lifecycle to a successful and meaningful exit.
His innovations include starting MMM’s Angel Network, which connects early stage technology companies with sources of capital.
Chris sits on the Selection Committee for Venture Atlanta, the largest technology investor conference in the Southeast.
He is also active with the Atlanta Chapter of Keiretsu Forum, Southern Capital Forum and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
For many clients, Chris also serves as outside general counsel, providing legal support across the organization and coordinating legal advice from other skilled attorneys within the firm.
