MMM proudly co-hosted the World Services Group Americas Meeting 2025 alongside Carey, welcoming legal and business leaders from across the Americas to Atlanta from May 7–9. The multi-day event featured distinguished guest speakers, thought-provoking panels, and engaging discussions, creating exceptional opportunities to connect and collaborate with colleagues across the region and around the globe.
MMM attorneys played a leading role throughout the program, offering timely insights on pressing legal and business issues:
- Bo Rutledge and Hillary Lukacs delivered a presentation titled “International Law at the Supreme Court,” analyzing how recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions have interpreted key international legal principles.
- Julie Mendoza and E.J. Thomas led the panel “Rapidly Changing U.S. Trade Policy: Impact on Business and Responses from Around the World,” joined by Josemaria Bustamante (Bustamante Fabara), Javier Díaz de León (Consul General of Mexico in Atlanta), Amaan Gangji (Lawson Lundell LLP), Diego Martin (Consortium Legal – El Salvador), and Andrea Ramirez Leon (Sidel, Inc.). The panel explored shifting trade and tariff policies, including actions under Section 232 and the IEEPA, and addressed how businesses worldwide are adapting in response.
- Roy Hadley led a forward-looking discussion on AI risk management and cybersecurity, joined by Mario M. Arrua-Leon (Equifax), Keyaan Williams (CLASS-LLC), and Ralph Pasquariello (The Tech Collective). The panel examined the evolving threat landscape and provided practical guidance for incorporating responsible AI and data security measures into modern business operations.
- Kate Pearch participated in a fireside chat titled “Atlanta on the Rise: A Global City Shaping the Future” with Kristi Brigman, Chief Economic Development Officer at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. The discussion highlighted Atlanta’s dynamic industries, global connections, and ambitious vision for growth.
The 2025 WSG Americas Meeting also provided ample networking opportunities, fostering relationships that extend beyond borders and across industries.
