Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Honors MMM

03.16.2016

Atlanta (March 16, 2016) – Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta (PBPA) has named Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP its Law Firm of the Year. PBPA is an organization that matches volunteer lawyers with local nonprofits in need of free legal counsel. The organization is honoring MMM for its outstanding work on the many legal matters PBPA matched with the firm’s volunteers.

“The large number of volunteers from MMM has helped us to keep up with the increasing demand for our services over the past few years,” said Rachel Epps Spears, Executive Director of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. “Many nonprofits might have gone without legal assistance had MMM not stepped in to help.”

In 2015, roughly two dozen Morris, Manning & Martin attorneys represented 21 different nonprofit organizations. PBPA honored MMM at an awards reception March 15.

“We’re honored to have been chosen by PBPA as their Law Firm of the Year for 2016,” says Jeff Douglass, chair of MMM’s Pro Bono Program. “Nearly every law firm in town works with PBPA, and for them to recognize MMM as their firm of the year speaks volumes about MMM and its generous attorneys.”

“I am very proud of our attorneys. So many support our pro bono effort with their valuable time,” says Louise Wells, Managing Partner. “We are all honored to say that MMM is Law Firm of the Year because of their exceptional efforts.”
