U.S. Department of Commerce Releases Section 232 Inclusion Requests for Comment

05.23.2025

Earlier this week, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) released the first round of inclusion requests, which seek to impose 25% Section 232 tariffs on additional products containing steel and aluminum. This action is being taken as a result of the President's February 10, 2025, proclamations, which terminated the Section 232 exclusion process and created a Section 232 inclusion process.

A total of 58 inclusion requests were filed, and these can be accessed via the link below. The inclusion requests seek to impose 25% section 232 tariffs on a wide range of products classified in multiple chapters of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).  Interested parties may file comments in response to these inclusion requests no later than June 4, 2025.
