Atlanta (Oct. 28, 2014) – Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP has elected three attorneys to become partners in the firm. Jessica Hill, Clyde Mize and Tony Roehl will assume their new roles effective Jan.1, 2015. Hill and Roehl are based in the firm’s Buckhead office while Mize is based in the firm’s Northside office. “Our three newest partners earned this achievement through their excellent work and dedication to the firm and their colleagues. We know they will be great contributors to our future,” said Managing Partner Louise M. Wells.
Hill’s practice involves the representation of developers and property owners in land use and zoning issues in Georgia, with a focus on properties located in the metro-Atlanta area. She handles rezoning applications, comprehensive land use plan changes, variances, special exceptions, special use permits and other similar related requests.
Mize practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, finance and government guaranteed lending. He represents clients in all phases of real estate including acquisitions, developments, financing and sales. Mize is currently Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and is an active board member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.
Roehl’s principal areas of concentration are regulation and transactional matters involving entities within the insurance industry, frequently assisting private equity, strategic investors, insurance companies, and agencies with mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions. He counsels clients regarding regulatory compliance, including market and financial conduct examinations, inquiries and relationships with Departments of Insurance.
