MMM Earns ALTA Certification for Real Estate Closings

Atlanta (April 21, 2016) – Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, has achieved certification of its compliance with The American Land Title Association (ALTA) Title Insurance and Settlement Best Practices.

“This certification gives mortgage lenders, regulators and consumers confidence that real estate closings conducted at MMM are performed with the utmost of professionalism and care, at the highest standards available in the industry,” said Vanessa Goggans, Chair of the firm’s Residential Real Estate Practice. “MMM has always been in compliance with the best practices; going the extra step to receive the official certification shows our continued commitment to high quality, reliable and compliant real estate settlement services.”

The ALTA Best Practices sets forth the highest real estate and title industry standards in the areas of real estate settlement procedures, escrow trust accounting, title insurance licensing and policy production, information security and consumer satisfaction. Nationally certified public accounting firm Frazier and Deeter, LLC, an ALTA Elite Provider of Best Practices services, provided the third-party assessment and certification services. 

The certification process involved weeks of thorough examination of MMM’s IT, Human Resources, Accounting and settlement service practices, including a review of closed files and several onsite inspections.
