The benefits of implementing an Effective Contract Management System is the topic of an upcoming meeting of the Technology General Counsel Roundtable. Speakers at the Wednesday, Feb. 20 event will include Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP Partner Paul Arne, as well as Linda Klausing, the firm’s Director of Legal Project Management.
Many companies have an abundance of different types of contracts, such as for services, vendors, manufacturing, sales, licensing, etc. Sometimes one person handles all the contracts; other times, responsibilities may be decentralized.
“A good Contract Management System can help businesses fine-tune processes, help with deadlines and provide access to contract information while keeping costs down,” Klausing adds.
“Liability and risk can be reduced with a well-constructed contract management process, not to mention increasing the job satisfaction of those involved in dealing with contracts,” adds Arne.
The breakfast meeting will be held in the 18th floor Board Room of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, in the Atlanta Financial Center. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., with the presentation at 8:00 a.m. Attendees will receive 1.5 CLE hours.
The Technology General Counsel Roundtable was formed to provide general counsel and in- house attorneys at technology and business services companies in the Southeast with a forum for education, networking and sharing of common issues, challenges and opportunities. The group meets quarterly to discuss recent case law and regulations impacting technology companies, review ways to improve operations of in-house legal departments, and share lessons learned from senior in-house counsel.
