New Law Firm Rankings Show Solid Growth for MMM

06.02.2015

(June 2, 2015) – Recently-released rankings from American Lawyer, a leading legal publication, show strong growth for Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, in terms of both finances and its diversity efforts.

In terms of financial success, the firm jumped 10 spots in the recently-released AmLaw 200. It is now ranked #184 out of the nation’s 200 largest law firms by revenue, compared to #194 in the previous year’s rankings. Other financial figures also bode well for MMM’s financial health. It also scored well above other firms its size – and some much larger – in several areas. Out of the 200 largest firms, it ranks #96 in partner compensation, #77 in value per lawyer, and #80 in profit per lawyer.

Additional recent data American Lawyer independently analyzed speaks well of another important area – the firm’s diversity efforts. MMM stands at #55 nationwide for the percentage of female equity partners. This is well above many of the largest firms; ironically, a dozen very large law firms did not submit any data for the ranking at all. MMM also did relatively well in another area – it ranks at #140 in racial diversity, which counted African-American, Asian, Hispanic and other partners. This is far above its overall revenue ranking of #184, and is better than many firms of similar size.

MMM’s priorities include giving strong support to internal diversity and women’s programs. In 2012, the firm won the “Best Mentoring in a Law Firm” category in Chambers & Partner’s Women in Law Awards.
