We are participating in the Mansfield Rule 5.0! The Mansfield Rule has become the standard by which law firms track and measure that they have affirmatively considered at least thirty percent women, lawyers from underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, lawyers with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ lawyers for top leadership roles, senior-level lateral hiring, promotions into the equity partnership, and participation in client pitch meetings.
In previously announced results, we not only earned the certification, we got an additional designation – Mansfield PLUS – for having already met the goals to which we aspired.
The ranking gets tougher every year. This year’s requirements include:
- Tracking candidate pools in a disaggregated manner so firms measure the impact by each underrepresented group.
- Counting lawyers of Middle Eastern/North African identity.
- Consider nominating at least 30% underrepresented lawyers for recognition by Chambers USA.
- Consider at least 30% underrepresented individuals when hiring and promoting C-level or other senior level professional roles.
