Atlanta (February 2018) – Regina Scott, a paralegal at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, has earned the 2018 Wells-Graham Award for Outstanding Service.
The yearly honor goes to an individual who goes above and beyond in dedicating time and energy to MMMPact – the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiative – and the community, through volunteerism of time and effort.
Scott, who works in the firm’s corporate and securities group, has been with MMM since 2014.
“Regina has made a lasting impression on us all through her commitment to service to her community,” said MMMPact Chair Christina Graham. “She is passing her values on to the next generation.”
Scott is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., an organization established to help improve social and economic conditions through community service programs. Members of the sorority’s Tau Epsilon Omega chapter, Inc. are asked to raise funds to support The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc., for which she has raised more than $4,000 within the past two years. The foundation is the sorority’s nonprofit arm for community involvement and scholastic achievement. It supports educational, leadership, and philanthropic activities for members of the East Point/College Park and South Fulton county communities.
Along with family and friends, she also participates in and financially supports various community service initiatives and fundraising efforts with the firm, including Mercy Care, Service Juris, Cheers (MMM’s fundraiser for its annual nonprofit partner) Lauren’s Run, hurricane relief efforts benefitting The American Red Cross, various “Jeans Day” donations and Woodruff Arts employees for the Arts. Scott also participated in the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas parade, where MMM was a “Myrrh Sponsor,” presenting the Chestatee High School Band.
The Wells-Graham Award is in honor of MMM Managing Partner Louise Wells and MMMPact Chair Christina Graham, for their tireless efforts in serving the community.
MMMPact has raised thousands of dollars for nonprofits and donated countless volunteer hours, while working to improve diversity, advance women’s issues and encouraging civic leadership.
