Morris, Manning & Martin Continues to Grow, Five Attorneys Join in Two Weeks

ATLANTA, GA -  December 13, 2010 ─ Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm and a leader in the corporate technology, capital markets and healthcare arenas, is pleased to announce the addition of three associates. 

  • Kristie E. Piasta, a recent LL.M graduate and formerly of Hunter, Maclean, is joining the firm’s Healthcare Practice. 
  • Nicole C. Ibbotson, formerly of Paul Hastings, is joining the firm’s Corporate Technology Practice.
  • Adriana Mitchell, also formerly of Paul Hastings, is joining the firm’s Capital Markets Practice.

On December 1, MMM announced the addition two of counsel and the establishment of its Funds & Alternative Investments Practice.  Bradford R. Lenox, formerly of DLA Piper, joined the firm in its Raleigh-Durham office and Jason K. Cordon, formerly of Paul Hastings, joined the firm’s Atlanta office.

“To end 2010 on a series of very positive notes will give us a great deal of energy as we focus on growth in 2011,” offered Louise M. Wells, Managing Partner.  “We developed and are executing our strategic plans.  The people we are attracting are excited to be part of the momentum as we begin celebrating our 35th Anniversary.”

Piasta focuses her practice on providing general legal advice to health systems in various regulatory and business matters.  She received her LL.M. in Health Law with a focus on Regulatory Compliance from the University of Washington in 2010, J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005, and B.B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2002.

Ibbotson represents clients in corporate and commercial matters, as well as complex technology transactions.  She focuses her practice on technology companies, manufacturers, retailers, licensors, franchisors, financial institutions and other companies participating in the nation’s banking and payment systems.  Ibbotson received her J.D. magna cum laudefrom the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006 and B.A. magna cum laude from Sewanee, the University of the South in 2002.

Mitchell represents clients in securities matters, including public and private offerings and ongoing public company securities law compliance.  She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008 and B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2005.
