MMM’s Daniel Prywes Wins Client Choice Award

02.09.2017

Washington, D.C. (February 9, 2017) – Daniel Prywes, a partner in Morris, Manning & Martin’s Washington, D.C. office, is the exclusive winner of the 2017 Client Choice Award in the Litigation category for the District of Columbia. The Client Choice Awards recognize law partners around the world who stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. Uniquely, the awards survey senior corporate counsel only. The winners were honored at a gala dinner held in London on Feb. 2.

“I’m honored by the Client Choice award, and appreciate my clients’ support,” Prywes said. “I try to keep a laser focus, every day, on advancing clients’ goals in a cost-effective way.”

Prywes joined MMM in July of last year.  He has handled numerous contract and employment disputes, as well as disputes in many other legal areas (including antitrust, securities, whistleblower defense, intellectual property, non-compete restrictions, partnerships, government contracts, and banking.) He has litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts, state and federal administrative agencies, arbitration panels and the U.S. Supreme Court. His clients include technology companies, universities, government contractors, trade associations, distributors, telecommunications firms, retailers, financial institutions, individuals, and others. He has written for or been interviewed in articles appearing in many media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, Bloomberg, Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, ABA Antitrust Magazine, the ACC Docket, the Society for Human Resource Management, and others.

The 2017 Client Choice winners were chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments. The selection criteria’s focus is on the ability to add real value to clients’ businesses above and beyond others in the market.

While Client Choice recognized 403 winners worldwide, it recognized only 187 winners in the U.S. To view all 2017 winners, visit http://www.ClientChoice.com.

Methodology
The extensive research is specially designed to help clients find the best lawyers worldwide and facilitate referrals between client service-focused law firms. The research began with a survey of in-house counsel subscribing to International Law Office and Lexology. The organization also gathers feedback at several international in-house counsel events and via the Client Choice website. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following criteria: quality of legal advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, appropriate staffing, project management, use of technology, loyalty and ethics.

To ensure that the results cannot be influenced, law firms are not informed when the initial round of research is conducted. The results are used to draw up shortlists for each work area. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to submit up to five referees. The research team conducts follow-up interviews and additional research where necessary. While based on thorough and coherent research, the results remain the subjective views of the Client Choice team.
