Frank B. Bazzel is a Partner in the Real Estate Development and Finance Practice and has been with the firm since its formation in 1976. Mr. Bazzel’s practice predominately involves representation of real estate developers, owners and investors in financings of their real estate transactions.

Mr. Bazzel has over 30 years experience in all kinds of commercial real estate transactions, including acquiring, selling, developing, leasing and financing transactions for office buildings, multi-family projects, shopping centers and hotels throughout the U.S.

Recent Experience

• Representation of the Sealy Companies in the formation of a $200,000,000 programatic equity joint venture financing with the California State Teachers Retirement System for the acquisition and development of industrial and office properties in the Southeastern and Southwestern United States.
• Representation of Wood Partners in the sale of a majority ownership stake in the Wood Partners existing assets, including over 16,700 apartment homes spread over 30 metropolitan areas and future development pipeline valued in excess of $3 billion dollars, to an institutional real estate fund sponsored by CB Richard Ellis Investors.
• The acquisition and construction financings for the joint venture developments by Wood Partners and The Novare Group for several mixed use high-rise condominium projects in Atlanta, Georgia: Metropolis, Eclipse, Twelve at Atlantic Station, Spire and Realm.
• The acquisition and construction financing for Wood Partners of its high-rise residential condominium project Glass House in Denver, Colorado.
• The sale of 63 industrial properties located in Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia in a $133,000,000 UPREIT Transaction for the Sealy Companies to First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc.
