Law360 and Bloomberg Law, two national news organizations targeting the legal community, have covered the arrival of Ricardo Jackman as a partner. Jackman recently joined MMM to launch its new Sports and Entertainment practice. Based in the Washington D.C. office, he has negotiated contracts and business deals totaling hundreds of millions of dollars for both professional and student athletes.
Jackman told Law360 Pulse that he is passionate about working with athletes and entertainers.
"They start their own businesses and their own foundations, and I aid them with the transactional work, be that business formation, day-to-day operations or acting as an outside general counsel," Jackman told the media outlet. "I handle a myriad of commercial agreements on their behalf, like marketing endorsements, influencer agreements, personal appearance agreements, podcast agreements, literary and recording. I also represent professional franchises in transactional matters, including licensing, purchasing, exhibit and sponsorship agreements."
The publications also mention that he specializes in the issue of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), which allows student-athletes to earn compensation.
