Atlanta (July 13, 2021) – Daniel Huynh, a partner in Morris, Manning & Martin’s Intellectual Property Practice, is a recipient of the Daily Report’s 2021 Georgia Legal Awards. Every year, the Daily Report designates a limited number of outstanding attorneys under age 40 as “On the Rise.” Huynh is one of only 20 young attorneys from all areas of the law selected this year.
In addition to his work with clients nationwide on intellectual property matters, Huynh leads MMM’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Initiative. He spearheaded MMM’s five-year DEI Strategic Plan, setting benchmarks for retaining and promoting attorneys to partner, establishing firm-wide DEI training and creating new growth opportunities for staff. He helped the firm recognize Juneteenth as a paid holiday in 2020 and launched a program paying for developmental opportunities for non-attorneys. He also leads the firm’s high school intern program (in its 12th year) for diverse students, exposing teens to legal career opportunities.
In 2018, he helped lead a team of lawyers and received an order blocking enforcement of a Georgia state law restricting a voter’s choice of interpreters. He’s also pro bono counsel for two documentaries celebrating diversity and education.
Dan’s community work includes serving on the boards of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA), the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. He is a founding board member of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Georgia.
