Vianney Lopez is an Associate in the firm’s Construction and Environmental Practice Groups. Ms. Lopez handles a wide range of transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters in these fields. She represents clients in matters involving the negotiation of design, engineering, contracting and construction contracts, and the negotiation and litigation of design and construction defect claims, breach of contract actions, lien foreclosures, bid protests, and challenges to local ordinances. Ms. Lopez also routinely advises clients on EEOC matters, including the EEOC conciliation process.
Ms. Lopez graduated from Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, as well as a Master of Science in Education degree from Lehman College, City University of New York. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After attending law school, Ms. Lopez served as a law clerk to the Honorable Wallace Capel, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Alabama, where she drafted orders, opinions, and recommendations in both civil and criminal cases and assisted with conferences, hearings, and pretrial and mediation proceedings.
Prior to joining Morris, Manning & Martin, Ms. Lopez practiced with a nationally prominent construction law firm in Atlanta, advising and representing clients in a wide range of construction disputes and federal government contract matters.
