Vianney Lopez is an Associate in the firm’s Construction and Environmental Practice Groups. Ms. Lopez handles a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters in these fields, with a focus on construction issues, problems, and disputes. She represents and advises national and diverse clients in the construction industry, including property owners, developers, lenders, investors, tenants, real estate investment trusts, and specialty contractors in every phase of construction projects throughout the country. As part of her practice, Ms. Lopez drafts, reviews, and negotiates design, engineering, construction management, procurement, and construction contracts, advises clients on project management and administration matters, and counsels clients on the resolution of project-related disputes. Her experience includes advising clients on construction projects involving the development and/or redevelopment of mixed-use, retail, residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial, warehouse, and Brownfield properties.
Ms. Lopez graduated from Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, as well as a Master of Science in Education degree from Lehman College, City University of New York. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After attending law school, Ms. Lopez served as a law clerk to the Honorable Wallace Capel, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Alabama, where she drafted orders, opinions, and recommendations in both civil and criminal cases and assisted with conferences, hearings, and pretrial and mediation proceedings.
Prior to joining Morris, Manning & Martin, Ms. Lopez practiced with a nationally prominent construction law firm in Atlanta, advising and representing clients in a wide range of construction disputes and federal government contract matters.
