Lynn M. Wilson is a Partner with the firm. Ms. Wilson initiated and now manages the firm’s Landlord Tenant Practice. This practice area represents landlords and property management companies of single family investment portfolios as well as multifamily and commercial property owners. The average dispossessory filings in the practice are in excess of three hundred (300) filings per month. In addition to representation in the dispossessory warrant hearing, Ms. Wilson also handles litigation involving landlord tenant matters in state and superior court as well as in bankruptcy court.

An integral component of the firm’s landlord tenant practice includes providing assistance to clients in formulating best practices and procedures in the operation and management of the rental portfolio. As a result, Ms. Wilson has provided recommendations regarding lease forms, drafted addendums, and revised forms and notices in compliance with Georgia law. She has developed and presented seminars to clients on the Fair Housing Act, the tools to effectively process a dispossessory from demand to eviction, and the impact of a bankruptcy filing on the dispossessory process.

Ms. Wilson also represents several national private equity investment companies in the acquisition and disposition of single family residential properties many of which are multi-property portfolio acquisitions. This representation includes contract negotiation and title clearance, as well as performing closing services. Ms. Wilson recently managed the closing donation program of over 400 single family REO properties across the country to a national non-profit charitable organization. This donation project spanned two years and as the managing attorney for the project, she managed and coordinated title agents across the country as well as supervising the closing transactions.

Ms. Wilson also handles non-judicial foreclosures throughout all Georgia counties. This work includes resolving title issues, coordinating the foreclosures with participating banks and coordinating matters related to credit bids.

Finally, Ms. Wilson also has significant experience representing employees relocating to or from the Atlanta area, and has knowledge of the unique issues involving national relocation service companies. She drafts and negotiates the contracts needed for a successful relocation and assists her clients throughout the closing process. Ms. Wilson has many years’ experience creating purchase and sale agreements and is skilled in managing specific issues which arise in the negotiation and amendment of such contracts. Ms. Wilson practices out of the firm’s Northside (Atlanta) office.
