John Martin focuses his practice on insurance mergers and acquisitions, family business transition planning and governance, and veteran-owned businesses. John works closely with his clients on all manner of contractual matters, including the drafting and review of purchase contracts, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, and general commercial contracts.
Prior to law school, John worked for nearly ten years in his family’s steel industry business. During this time, he engaged lawyers to assist with domestic and international contracts and issues related to international trade, intellectual property, human resources and litigation. This experience provided John with a rich background in the practical application of the law and shaped his approach to client relationships. John has a special affinity for family businesses in all industries and understands the challenges of generational transition and family business dynamics.
John was proud to serve with the 3/75 Ranger Battalion at Fort Benning, GA. He has extensive connections in the veteran community and is eager to help fellow veterans navigate the civilian business world.
