Mr. Covey has extensive experience in all areas of electronic discovery and discovery project management, as well as digital forensics and investigation.  He assists firm clients and IT professionals with forensically defensible evidence identification, preservation, and collection, as well as processing, searching, culling, and analysis.  Partnering with both the firm's IT department and litigation attorneys, he has developed an array of unique technology capabilities that both increase efficiency and reduce cost.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Covey was employed for 8 years at Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP as a litigation paralegal, and was ultimately promoted to the newly-created role of litigation support specialist, in support of over 100 litigators.  During his time at Constangy, Mr. Covey significantly broadened his skill set in order to address the growing need for internal expertise in the emerging field electronic discovery, and was deeply involved in the firm’s largest cases.  He also developed detailed operating procedures and methodologies designed to maximize the firm’s capabilities with regard to electronic discovery while minimizing both risk and expense.

Mr. Covey is also the author of The PDF Litigation Guide, which provides detailed instruction on the advanced application of Adobe© Acrobat© in litigation for paralegals and attorneys, and is widely known as a subject matter expert in this regard.
