Ms. Wasco is an associate of Morris, Manning & Martin’s Litigation Practice. Her work focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on commercial finance-related litigation and employment law disputes. Additionally, Ms. Wasco represents FHA lenders both in closing loans and advising on issues connected with deal structuring and compliance with HUD rules and regulations.
Ms. Wasco routinely represents financial institutions, including HUD and Fannie Mae-approved lenders and services, in the real estate finance industry on matters involving creditor’s rights, lender liability issues, loan default workouts, complex contract disputes, condemnation proceedings and regulatory compliance. On behalf of real estate owner-developers, Ms. Wasco has experience defending against administrative enforcement actions and general landlord tenant matters.
Ms. Wasco also has extensive experience representing both employers and employees in employment-related disputes. Her cases have involved wage and hour claims under the FLSA, discrimination claims under Title VII, ADA and Rehabilitation Act claims and retaliation claims for engaging in protected activity. In addition, she has advised employers on personnel policies and on the enforceability of restrictive covenants. Ms. Wasco has represented clients before state, federal and bankruptcy courts and has participated in numerous mediations.
Ms. Wasco also devotes time representing pro bono clients including unaccompanied minors in the immigration system through the non-profit organization, KIND (Kids In Need of Defense).
While attending law school, Ms. Wasco completed legal internships with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Deputy General Counsel’s Office for Energy Policy and with the Attorney General’s Office for the District of Columbia.
