Darlene H. Parks is a Paralegal in the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights Practice, where she assists clients in the areas of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. She has over 25 years of legal experience.
Ms. Parks has worked with secured creditors, borrowers and equity holders in loan workouts, restructurings, refinancings and bankruptcy matters. She has significant experience in all aspects of such representations, including loan document analysis, secured transactions under Article 9 of the UCC, forbearance agreements, purchase and sale of Notes; asset sales under § 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, foreclosures, confirmation actions, receiverships, writs of possession, and bankruptcy litigation relating to fraudulent transfers, preferences and claim issues.
Prior to focusing upon a bankruptcy/creditor's rights practice, Ms. Parks worked in civil litigation, insurance litigation, probate litigation and construction litigation. Additionally, Ms. Parks assisted with felony jury trials while employed at the District Attorney's Office in Washington Parish, Louisiana.
