Alexander P. Woollcott chairs the firm’s Global Sourcing & Strategic Transactions Practice. He is also a leader in the firm’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practices. With 30 years of experience as a technology transactions lawyer, Mr. Woollcott represents clients worldwide in strategic transactions involving global sourcing, supply chain and procurement, resale and distribution and strategic alliances and in connection with the development, protection and commercialization of technology. He has deep experience helping clients develop compliance programs for data privacy and security, export controls and risk management. Mr. Woollcott represents private sector enterprises in contracts to supply technology solutions to the federal government and state governments. He counsels clients in developing internal processes for more efficient management of complex commercial contracts. Mr. Woollcott’s clients are in numerous industries including banking and financial services, payments, education technology, healthcare and life sciences, telecommunications, logistics, and telecommunications. Mr. Woollcott has a Martindale-Hubbell AV PREEMINENT rating and has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer from 2004-2016.

  • Represented leading school bus manufacturer in establishing distribution channels in Latin America.

  • Represented leading U.S. bank in multiple sourcing transactions.

  • Represented largest U.S. non-profit corporation in renegotiation of $5 million plus annual IT sourcing agreement with leading IT sourcing services provider.
  • Lead outside counsel to City of Atlanta in design, development and implementation of WiFi network at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
  • Represented Fortune 100 financial institution client in transaction with solutions provider for the provision of point of sale solutions to client and client’s affiliates worldwide.
  • Counseled clients on data privacy and security matters involved in cross-border business transactions.
