Atlanta (February 11, 2022) – Atlanta as an emerging national tech and investment hub is the topic of an upcoming Wharton Club of Atlanta program. John Yates, chair of the Corporate Technology Group at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP will headline the online event Thursday, February 24 at noon.

Yates, a pioneer in technology law, will address topics including the Atlanta tech community’s history, its key leaders and their legacies, success stories, lessons learned and what the future holds.

The Tech group offers comprehensive legal and corporate services to start-ups, growing tech companies and investors. He has dedicated countless hours to building the region’s tech economy by founding and co-founding leading trade organizations including the Southeastern Software Association (SSA), the Southeastern Medical Device Association (SEMDA), the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the Tech Executives Roundtable (TER) in Atlanta and the Tech Leaders Forum (TLF) in Charlotte, N.C.

“We are excited to kick off our 2022 club events with John Yates and to hear his expert comments on Atlanta’s growth as an innovation and investment hub,” commented Rekha Menon-Varma co-president of Wharton Club Atlanta. “Our alumni members and attendees will gain from his insights, whether they are from an entrepreneurial setting, corporate or financial/legal services. We look forward to welcoming John on the 24th.”
