Atlanta (February 2015) – NeuroLaunch, the world’s first startup accelerator program for neuroscience companies, has named Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP an Outstanding Partner. The honor recognizes the support the law firm gives the program, and the businesses it is helping to nurture.
“Thank you for all your help in framing IP strategy for our startups, as well as your ongoing support to help NeuroLaunch grow as a company,” said the accelerator’s co-founder, Jim Schwoebel. “I hope we can continue building our relationship moving forward as we work to build the next generation of neuroscience startups!”
MMM attorneys, including associate Bryan Stewart, worked closely with the first cohort of companies in the NeuroLaunch program. This included providing general information on intellectual property and working with the companies on an individual basis to help develop intellectual property strategies.
“NeuroLaunch is an outstanding organization and we are proud to support its team and companies as they pave the way for neuro-focused companies in Atlanta and throughout the world,” Stewart said.
The award was given at the accelerator’s Investor Demo Day on Feb. 3 at Atlanta Technology Village. The Demo Day also included an investor showcase for the six startups completing the accelerator program.
NeuroLaunch describes itself as being unique for providing a curriculum, environment and roster of mentors customized for neuroscience-related companies. Its mission is to build a long-term community of stakeholders around neuro-innovation and build the next generation of neuroscience startups.
