MMM’s Lauren Prevost Honored Among Women of Influence

Atlanta (July 30, 2020) –  Lauren Prevost, who heads the Real Estate Capital Markets Practice at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP has been selected as one of GlobeSt Real Estate Forum’s 2020 Women of Influence.

The publication chooses accomplished and impactful leaders from across the nation as its honorees. The criteria for selection include career achievements, community outreach and mentorship within a wide range of specialties in the industry. “What they have in common is they have all made a distinctive mark in commercial real estate,” the editors wrote.

Prevost, who is in the Commercial Real Estate Legal Counsel category, has represented real estate investment trusts (REITs) in public and private securities offerings totaling more than $25 billion and REIT joint venture transactions and mergers and acquisitions totaling $21 billion. As the editors noted, “In just the last year, Prevost led more than $10 billion in transactions, representing clients across asset classes.”

Her clients cover virtually every real estate asset class, including healthcare, hospitality, industrial/distribution, mixed-use, multifamily, office, opportunity zone development, retail and student housing. She is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and chaired the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) Legal and Regulatory Committee in 2019.

In addition to chairing the firm’s RECM group, Prevost is a member of several other practices, including Corporate, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, Investment Funds, Mergers & Acquisitions, Opportunity Zones, REIT Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities & Corporate Governance.
