Matthew J. Alexander, an SEC enforcement attorney, has joined MMM to launch a White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance Practice in our Washington, D.C. office. Alexander told legal publication Law360 that his time with the Securities & Exchange Commission, plus his experience in private practice, bring a key added value to the firm.
"I really enjoyed my time in public service at the SEC, and what I was interested in doing was building a practice from the ground up," Alexander said. "The opportunity at Morris Manning & Martin was a unique fit — a great fit — aligning with the firm's strategic vision in moving into the white collar space and expanding its D.C. footprint.”
Alexander added that the strength of MMM’s Litigation Practice was an important factor. He says he looks forward to serving the firm’s clients, who he describes as good corporate citizens. The new White Collar practice is built on giving compliance advice, supporting and conducting internal investigations, and providing white collar defense when necessary.
