Huynh Earns Rising Star Award from Ga. Asian Pacific American Bar Association

06.25.2019

Atlanta (June 25, 2019) – The Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA) recently honored Morris, Manning & Martin partner Daniel Huynh with its Rising Star award. He received the recognition May 30 at the organization’s annual gala at the Georgia Aquarium. Huynh joined MMM’s intellectual property and technology litigation group earlier this year.

“I’d like to thank GAPABA for doing so much for Asian-Americans in the profession and the Gala Committee for making each gala bigger and better than the last” Huynh said. “I’m honored to join a class of past award recipients who are recognized attorneys, jurists, philanthropists and civic leaders. I look forward to recognizing the next award recipient at next year’s gala.”

This is one of many honors he has received in his career. The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association selected Huynh as a 2018 Leadership Advancement Program fellow. He also received the Pro Bono Award from the Atlanta IP Inn of Court, a prestigious invitation-only professional organization. The Atlanta Business Chronicle named him to its 40 Under 40 class of 2016. He has been on the Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for IP litigation since 2015. He was also a 2015 class member of LEAD Atlanta, an intensive eight-month leadership development and community education program targeted at promising young professionals in Metro Atlanta.

In addition to serving on the board of GAPABA, he is also a member of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys and Asian Americans Advancing Justice boards. He is also a founding member and board member of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Georgia. He is a former board member and vice chair of Tapestri Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on combatting human trafficking. He has also been an adjunct professor at Georgia Tech.

Huynh has a wealth of experience in patent litigation and advising clients on other intellectual property and commercial matters, including trademark and IP disputes. He has represented companies of all sizes in various technology sectors including wireless telecommunications, e-commerce, and financial payment systems. He also has experience with Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission and international IP arbitrations, as well as district court litigation before federal courts across the U.S. He is admitted to the Bar in both Georgia and North Carolina.
