David Calhoun, Ed Hirsch and Scott Allen Participate in Technology Executives Roundtable Event

Three Morris, Manning & Martin attorneys have prominent roles in the Technology Executives Roundtable’s 2008 Accounting, Tax and Legal Update. The event, titled “2008 Accounting, Tax and Legal Update: What Every Technology Company Needs To Know,” is set for Tuesday, January 22 at the Buckhead Club in the Atlanta Financial Center.

MMM’s David Calhoun will moderate the panel, which will include attorneys Ed Hirsch and Scott Allen. Panelists also include Wayne Reid and Seth McDaniel of Frazier & Deeter, LLC.

The topics are expected to include:

  • Recent accounting and tax changes impacting technology companies
  • Recent legal trends
  • The M&A outlook as well as private and public finance markets
  • The terms and conditions venture capitalists impose on technology companies

Calhoun, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group, has extensive expertise in corporate finance, including public and private securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate capital markets. Hirsch, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Group, focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general commercial law. Allen, an associate in the Corporate Group, represents public and private companies in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital and public securities offerings .

The event will be a joint meeting for CEO & CFO members and guests. The doors open at 7:00 a.m., with breakfast at 7:30 a.m.. The program will run from 8:00 to 9:00.
