Atlanta (August 2022) – Corporate transactions attorney Henry Long joined Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP as Of Counsel. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Technology, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups.
Long was most recently a senior attorney for an industry-leading public company where he focused on M&A, finance and strategic-growth projects. He worked on transactions and investments valued at over $2.5 billion both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
“Henry has done a significant number of transactions and is a great fit for MMM,” said John Yates, who heads the firm’s Corporate Tech group. “Our team is also working more frequently with innovative companies in the growing markets throughout the Southeast and Henry’s experience and insight are very valuable.”
Long’s role with MMM will include representing buyers and sellers in M&A and corporate finance transactions for public and private companies. He will also assist clients with general corporate counseling, M&A and transaction advisory, and tech company legal needs. He will provide legal services to private equity, venture capital investors and entrepreneurs in numerous industries, including technology, financial technology, healthcare technology, business process outsourcing and manufacturing.
MMM’s Corporate group is known nationally for its work with fast-growing companies. Figures from Pitchbook show that it is the most active East Coast firm in Southeast venture capital deals for 2021. It’s also the most active Southern firm representing companies in venture capital and private equity deals in the entire United States.
Long earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University, his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama, and a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
