Is the middle of a pandemic the right time to sell rental property? MMM Partner Lynn Wilson, who heads MMM’s Landlord Tenant Practice, recently told Business Insider that there are a lot of factors at play. Suburban properties could recover more rapidly than urban areas, she says, since many people are leaving congested cities for lower rent and more space. The investor’s goal is another consideration. Most landlords hold properties for at least two lease terms to be sure the continued investment is worthwhile. Plus, most states let landlords sell properties that are occupied, as long as they notify the residents.
