Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is currently seeking a Network & Security Administrator to join our IT Department in our Atlanta office. The Network & Security Administrator reports to the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager and works closely with him/her to ensure the delivery of a robust and secure enterprise infrastructure to support the firm's business objectives and strategy, and provide excellent service to the firm's lawyers, support staff and clients. The Network & Security Administrator is responsible for the daily review and the corresponding appropriate alerting and action regarding all firm related network and security monitoring and administration tools. The Network & Security Administrator is expected to develop and present to the CIO, IT Director and IT Infrastructure & Security Manager standard findings and performance reports on the firm’s network and security solutions. The Network & Security Administrator will also assist with various projects, rollouts and deployments of network and security hardware, software, processes and policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide first level compliance monitoring and investigations.
- Assist with forensics analysis and fact gathering.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks, and servers as required.
- Assist with applications/tools including but not limited to SIEM, IPS/IDS, e-mail gateway protection, and DLP tools.
- Perform compliance audits against institutionally accepted security controls.
- Record and track IT security incidents, including but not limited to compromised accounts, e-mail threats, and abuse reports from various sources.
- Reviewing technical scans and communicating findings back to the team
- Provide product security advisory services support by recommending improvements in information security systems, procedures and processes based on industry best practices and innovative thinking
- Monitor for security incidents and participate in incident response teams to contain, investigate, and prevent future information security incidents
- Understand current and emerging security threats
- Stay abreast of new security technologies
- Arrange and install network hardware and software as directed
- Screen network performance and report findings
- Give network status reports department leadership
- Undertake limited network administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent from an accredited college or university (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Superior oral and written communication skills with both senior management and IT team members.
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines, set priorities and complete projects and tasks on time and within budget, and the ability to communicate to the CIO, IT Director, IT Infrastructure & Security Manager and other team members status of projects at all times.
- Must be self-driven, self-motivated, results-oriented, customer service-oriented, while being an effective team player.
