Marketing Coordinator — Corporate Technology, Corporate, & IP

Under the direction of supervisors, the Coordinator will provide support to the firm’s Corporate Technology and Intellectual Property practices. This individual will perform various support functions related to Business Development and Client Event activities.

General Responsibilities 

  • Administrative – 30%, Event Coordination – 30%, Social/Content Marketing – 30%, and Research/Business Development – 10%
  • Regularly update and maintain all marketing materials for assigned practice areas.
  • Manage and coordinate all events for the assigned practice groups.
  • Actively manage and develop MMM’s presence through social media.
  • Track prospect/client relationship cycle through InterAction CRM.

Administrative Responsibilities – 30%

  • Serve as main Marketing point of contact for Corporate, Corporate Technology & IP practices.
  • Revise, update, maintain and print all Marketing materials for assigned practice areas.
  • Submit weekly Business Development reports using Interaction CRM.
  • Prepare pitch materials, team sheets and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate annual holiday gifts to clients.
  • Provide marketing orientation to new associates in assigned practice areas.
  • Assist with the submission of attorneys and practice areas for ranking publications and award recognition.
  • Manage budget for designated practice areas.

Event Coordination – 30%

  • Manage and coordinate all events for the Corporate, Corporate Technology and Intellectual Property practices including, but not limited to:
    • Monthly investor receptions
    • Seminars/Webinars
    • External events
    • Hosting of clients, strategic partners
  • Assist with follow-up from all events, including outreach and follow-up meetings.

Social/Content Marketing Responsibilities – 30%

  • Direct, record and edit podcasts and videos.
  • Work with attorneys to develop content – articles, legal updates, etc. – and promote via email and social media.
  • Manage MMM social media presence.
  • Work with PR to maximize exposure for practice news, industry events, and recent developments.

Research/Business Development Responsibilities – 10%

  • Create targeted prospect and strategic partner lists and reports to track business development activities and prospect client relationship cycle using lists, reports and databases in InterAction CRM.
  • Coordinate event and association sponsorships.
  • Set up booths and represent firm at tradeshows and conferences.
  • Develop programs for local associations and incubators with attorneys. 
  • Network and develop business leads at events.

Required Skills 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic and a strong focus on client service with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing workload.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a focus on marketing or business administration is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience required in a client-facing role.
