Project Manager, E-Discovery — Atlanta

Morris, Manning & Martin LLP is seeking a Project Manager, E-Discovery.  This position will serve as the head of eDiscovery for the firm while supporting attorneys with regard to litigation support databases and tools, and promoting and ensuring the effective use of current litigation technology within the firm.  The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with five (5) or more years of relative experience, or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties of the position
  • Extremely high aptitude for synthesizing complex software and advanced technology concepts, workflows, and procedures
  • Advanced data manipulation skills with text editing tools, Excel, or ReadySuite software highly preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic evidence rules and laws, as well as deliverable preparation pursuant to ESI production technical specifications highly desired
  • Strong attention to detail in adhering  to firm litigation support procedures and processes
  • Experience with courtroom trial presentation technology tools a plus
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively to complete projects and meet tight deadlines, often while managing simultaneous, competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support department mission of innovative, efficient delivery of litigation technology support services to firm’s litigation practice group, with emphasis on continual improvement
  • Achieve mastery of firm litigation support technology tools and assist in their administration
  • Develop knowledge regarding firm IT technology infrastructure underpinning litigation technology resources  
  • Perform analysis, creation and complex manipulation of litigation database load files
  • Prepare document production deliverables using firm technology tools, complying with detailed production specifications where applicable
  • Prepare outgoing media for production deliverables as needed
  • Perform data disposition, archival, and other storage-related tasks
  • Assist in forensically defensible handling of sensitive, confidential client data and physical media, and support activities in firm forensic lab
  • Help maintain secure inventory and logging of electronic media evidence
  •  Perform related tasks and projects as assigned
