Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is seeking a Legal Assistant/Receptionist for our Washington, DC office. This position is for our growing D.C. office which is currently located near the McPherson Square metro, and will be at Dupont Circle by the end of 2023. The Legal Assistant/Receptionist role is a full-time position and is required to work in the office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a secretary or administrative assistant supporting multiple professionals; experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Filesite, iManage a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all times
- Extremely punctual and able to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities:
- Professionally answer and direct all incoming calls
- Back-up Atlanta reception for phones
- Assist and greet internal/external clients in a professional and hospitable manner
- Assist other legal assistants and/or attorneys with production of legal documents and administrative tasks
- Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, and route within the office
- Responsible for general up-keep of reception and hospitality area
- Maintain conference room scheduler
- Coordinate in-office meetings (i.e., catering arrangements, audio-visual set-up, and/or conference call scheduling)
- Assist with conference room set-up and break-down
- Assist legal assistants with attorney time entry and billing
- Other projects and assignments as directed
