Entrepreneur, Author to Speak, Sign Books at MMM

11.02.2017 (05:00 PM)

Atlanta (October 2017) – Author Jonathan Hagmaier will share stories of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur at an event Nov. 2 hosted by Morris, Manning & Martin. Hagmaier’s new book, “AHA! to All In: Life Lessons From an Unexpected Entrepreneur,” is his story of turning a great idea into a successful business.

When Hagmaier worked in public education as a teacher and principal, he saw first-hand the need for tools to help students – especially at-risk students – stay on track. He co-founded Interactive Achievement, which helped change the lives of students, educators and the creators themselves.

Hagmaier and the company won several awards including being named Virginia’s Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Entrepreneur of the Year by Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia. MMM represented the company when it went through a successful sale in 2016. Hagmaier is now CEO of Common Wealth Growth Group, which invests in other startups.

The book includes insights on creating a new business and learning what it takes to become a multi-million dollar company. It covers topics including the impact of venture capital and the importance of finding strong legal counsel. It also includes candid information about his faults, failures and successes.

The Nov. 2 reception is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MMM’s headquarters in the Atlanta Financial Center - 3343 Peachtree Road N.E. The book, co-authored by William Long and Jeffrey Smith, is available as a paperback and on Kindle. To RSVP, click here.
