Claudette Grooms is a paralegal in the firm’s Litigation practice, where she provides assistance in direct and inverse condemnation litigation by eminent domain, environmental litigation and regulatory matters, municipal law, healthcare regulatory compliance and disputes, labor and employment disputes and breach of contract claims. Additionally, Ms. Grooms provides extensive assistance in the areas of creditors’ rights litigation including trustee appointment actions, confirmation and foreclosure sales, and actions on notes.
Ms. Grooms has extensive experience in condemnation litigation and civil litigation including: trial preparation, discovery, due diligence fact investigation, extensive case/document review and analysis, legal research and budgeting. For over twenty-five years, she has provided assistance in state and federal courts in numerous jury trials involving complex labor and employment cases, condemnation matters involving eminent domain, and trademark and intellectual property right disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Grooms worked as a paralegal for a major law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who transferred her to assist in the opening of their Atlanta office in 1991. Ms. Grooms also worked as a paralegal in New York assisting in civil, criminal and domestic relations matters.
