W. Marion Wilson is an associate in the
firm’s Litigation Practice. Mr. Wilson
focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and products liability
litigation, with a particular emphasis on acting as national coordinating
counsel for corporate clients involved in complex, high exposure
litigation. He has significant
experience preparing dispositive motions, responsive pleadings, coordinating
large-scale document productions, drafting and responding to written discovery,
as well as preparing discovery-related motions.
He also has experience defending depositions and has engaged in various
settlement negotiations on behalf of firm clients.
In
addition, Mr. Wilson has extensive experience representing clients in
connection with complex insurance coverage issues related to commercial general
liability, professional liability, and D&O liability insurance.
Recent Matters
- Currently
acting as national coordinating counsel for an international real estate
developer in connection with over 50 individual, multi-party, and putative
class action lawsuits pending in state and federal court throughout the
Southeast. These lawsuits involve
allegations of violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations
Act, the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, state and federal
securities laws, state unfair and deceptive trade practices acts, as well as
claims for common law fraud, negligent misrepresentation and breach of
contract, arising out of the development of residential resort communities.
- Currently
defending the world’s largest home improvement retailer in a putative class
action relating to the sale of pressure treated wood.
- Currently
acting as national coordinating counsel for a national container packaging
manufacturer in connection with defending numerous personal injury and public
nuisance actions arising from the sale of lead-based paint.
- Recently
represented a publicly traded corporation in complex insurance coverage
litigation, which included litigating declaratory judgment actions in state and
federal courts in multiple jurisdictions.
