Steven J. Sauro is Of Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate and Finance Practice.  Mr. Sauro’s experience includes a wide variety of traditional and securitized lending matters, construction and permanent loans, loan modifications, multi-state portfolio loans, small business loans, commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS), commercial real estate sales and acquisitions and commercial leases from both sides of the transaction.  As a former in-house counsel at a global consumer and building products company with approximately 50,000 employees and 600 properties, Mr. Sauro brings additional insight and perspective to his in-house clients.

Recent Transactions

• Successfully bought and sold more than $98,000,000 worth of raw land and improved real estate, including the disposition of warehouses and wood, chemical and consumer products manufacturing facilities; the disposition of a 237 acre pulp and paper mill in lieu of eminent domain in exchange for nominal cash consideration plus the assumption of obligations valued at $35,000,000; and the acquisition of a 1,000,000 square foot warehouse.
• Handled real estate transactional aspects of the disposition of two pulp mills and a short line railroad valued at over $600,000,000.
• Handled real estate transactional aspects of the disposition of a short line railroad valued at over $5,000,000.
