Steven J. Pritchett is an associate in the Litigation Practice. Mr. Pritchett practices in the area of commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on products liability litigation. He also has developed experience in general commercial disputes, employment litigation, eminent domain and commercial real estate litigation. Mr. Pritchett has extensive practical experience in all aspects of civil litigation including discovery, class actions, motions practice, settlement negotiations, arbitration, trial and appeal. He also enjoys representing pro bono clients in a broad range of matters.
Recent Experience
- Assisted with representation of multiple governmental entities in the condemnation of various residential, commercial, and other properties for public buildings, roads, utilities, airports, and redevelopment purposes. Representation includes recent favorable jury verdict for condemnor at trial.
- Lead Associate in defense of Fortune 50 retailer in connection with case involving allegations of toxic exposure resulting from use of one of the nation's most common and popular building products - CCA pressure-treated wood. Received a total defense verdict after a three-and-a-half week trial.
- Assisted in the defense of a Fortune 50 retailer in connection with complex litigation involving cases nationwide in which plaintiffs allege they suffered respiratory injuries from their exposure to a home improvement product. Representation includes a recent complete defense verdict in a bellwether trial involving five plaintiffs in the U.S.D.C. for the Northern District of Georgia.
