Phil Du’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the telecommunication, computer, network, electrical, software, and mechanical fields. He also aids in preparing legal opinions in the areas of patent infringement and freedom to practice, as well as drafting and negotiating license agreements. Mr. Du has extensive experience in the areas of legal research and litigation support for intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining Morris, Manning & Martin, Mr. Du practiced in Detroit, Michigan and is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association. Mr. Du gained his computer and technology knowledge from his experience as a computer developer for various hi-tech companies in Texas, before attending law school.
