Lynn M. Wilson is Of Counsel with the firm. Ms. Wilson has developed a niche practice devoted to the representation of the FDIC in its foreclosure of primarily commercial real estate assets. In the past year, her office has handled over 263 foreclosure actions throughout 16 counties in Georgia. This work involves resolving title issues, coordinating the foreclosures with participating banks and coordinating matters related to credit bids with the client. Ms. Wilson is responsible for coordinating the sale of REO properties for a major Atlanta lender which includes resolving title and contract issues, as well as closing the REO transaction. She has also revised REO online auction sale contracts for the disposition of foreclosed assets and is participating in the closings of the sale of these specialized REO assets.
Ms. Wilson also conducts and manages title examinations ranging from residential property exams to coordinating and conducting large commercial title projects for commercial and residential properties across the country, as well as issuance of title insurance for such projects. Ms. Wilson also represents lenders in the Atlanta marketplace in acquisition & development and construction lending. This representation includes drafting and negotiating documents, facilitating the closing of the transaction and also writing the title insurance.
Ms. Wilson is also experienced in the representation of employees relocating to or from the Atlanta area, and has knowledge of the unique issues involving national relocation service companies. She drafts and negotiates the contracts needed for a successful relocation and assists her clients throughout the closing process. Ms. Wilson has many years’ experience creating purchase and sale agreements, as is skilled in managing specific issues which arise in the negotiation and amendment of such contracts. Ms. Wilson practices out of the firm’s Northside (Atlanta) office.
