Karen Reschly is an associate in the Timberland Investments & Forest Products, Tax, Sustainability, Real Estate Capital Markets and Fund Formation Practices. Ms. Reschly’s practice is focused on issues related to the taxation of business entities and transactions, with particular emphasis on the timberland and forest products industries. She regularly represents timberland investment organizations (“TIMOs”) and real estate investment trusts (“REITs”), as well as institutional and high-net-worth investors in a variety of timber-related investments.
Ms. Reschly regularly advises clients on tax and corporate issues related to cross-border timberland investing, including international tax and financial structuring techniques. She also has experience in fund formation, installment note structuring, investment management agreements, wood and fiber supply agreements and basic timber law.
