Gary M. Whaley is special counsel in the Real Estate Development and Finance, Corporate, and Commercial Finance Practices in the Raleigh-Durham office. Mr. Whaley joined the firm following 10 years as a Title Attorney with Investors Title Insurance Company and 15 years of private practice where he focused on real estate transactions.
Mr. Whaley devotes his time to the resolution of real property title conflicts, land title litigation, dispute resolution, and commercial real estate contract, purchase, and leasehold transactions. He is a past President of the North Carolina Land Title Association and has been a frequent course planner and speaker at various North Carolina Bar Association (Real Property Section) events, leading numerous educational programs for attorneys, lenders, and realtors.
He is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct mediated settlement conferences for the North Carolina Superior Court.
