Brian J. Levy is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial Litigation, Insurance & Reinsurance, and Tax Practices.   His practice concentrates in the area of complex civil litigation, including litigation pertaining to insurance and reinsurance, banking, real estate, and tax controversies.  Mr. Levy has experience representing clients in litigation before federal and state courts and in arbitration.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Levy was a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Recent Experience

• Representing community bank in appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit after district court dismissed a borrower’s complaint alleging lending discrimination and fraud.
• Secured dismissal of a client accused of conspiring to violate federal and state RICO laws in a putative class action arising from a $40 million Ponzi scheme.
• Successfully defended a managing general agent sued by an automobile leasing company who alleged that the agent issued a policy with insufficient coverage limits to insulate the leasing company from vicarious liability for a death caused by its lessee.
