Alexander P. Woollcott co-chairs the firm’s Global Sourcing & Procurement Practice and is a partner in the Technology Transactions practice. With over 25 years of experience as a transactional lawyer, his practice focuses primarily in the following areas: on-shore and offshore sourcing relationships and transactions; procurement and licensing; distribution channel relationships; supply chain solutions; logistics, technology and IT solutions; strategic alliances and joint ventures; market channel relationships; mergers and acquisitions and a wide range of cross-border transactions. Alex is widely regarded as an emerging leader in the global sourcing industry and is frequently invited to speak at national conferences on outsourcing. Mr. Woollcott has significant experience in business process outsourcing (BPO), IT outsourcing and procurement, transformational outsourcing, healthcare and life sciences industry sourcing, government contracting and privatization and in telecommunications, wireless and media industry transactions. Alex is also well-known nationally for his work in representing companies and senior executives in connection with executive employment agreements, severance agreements, and non-competition, non-solicitation and trade secret protection covenants. He works with a diverse base of clients throughout the United States, ranging from emerging growth companies to large public companies and municipal and other government entities.

  • Represented Fortune 100 company in multiple third-party sourcing relationships associated with company’s new corporate headquarters facility.
  • Represented one of the largest nonprofit companies in the U.S. in complete renegotiation of $3 million plus annual IT and help desk services agreement with leading IT sourcing services provider.
  • Represent numerous middle-cap and large companies in sourcing and procurement transactions IT, help desk, call center, real estate transaction, employee benefits, product research and testing, applications management and numerous other service areas.
  • Represent clients that are selling goods or services or licensing technology to federal, state and local government agencies and entities.
  • Represented City of Atlanta in transactions governing the design, construction, and operation of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s public WiFi network, which at the time was world’s largest.
  • Represented major municipality in revamping and streamlining its procurement procedures and contracts.
  • Developed series of customizable on-site client workshops focusing on complex commercial transactions, deal negotiation strategies, trade secret identification and protection, and additional related topics.
  • Numerous private equity and venture capital transactions representing both investors and portfolio companies.
