MMM’s Michele Madison Chairs TAG Health Society

10.19.2016

Atlanta (October 19, 2016) — The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, and TAG Health today announced Michele Madison as the new chair of TAG Health.

Madison’s goals in the volunteer position include helping to grow the healthcare and healthcare IT industries in the state. “Supporting healthcare information technology will help create new jobs, but it’s more than that,” Madison says. “Using technology to support medical providers in the state goes hand in hand with improving the delivery of healthcare services.”

“Michele is a champion for creating more healthcare IT jobs in the state, and is also working hard on behalf of the area’s rural hospitals,” said MMM Managing Partner Louise Wells. “We know she will do a wonderful job leading TAG Health.”

In her work with MMM, Madison provides legal advice to health systems in a wide variety of regulatory and business matters including HIPAA privacy and security compliance, Certificate of Need applications, and oversight and guidance for medical staff governance and credentialing. She also works with a number of IT companies. Honors include being ranked in the Healthcare rankings of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers for several years running.

In addition to serving on the TAG Health board for several years, she holds the Secretary position on the board of the Institute for Healthcare Information Technology (IHIT) and serves on the Executive Committee for the Health IT Leadership Summit. She is also a member of several healthcare related organizations including the American Health Lawyers Association, Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Health Information Management Services Systems.

TAG Health focuses on Georgia’s rapidly expanding healthcare field. Healthcare IT and management professionals, physicians, allied health professionals and hospital administrative personnel are all members of the Society.
