MMM Tech Chair to Speak at National Law Conferences

Atlanta (February 11, 2016) – John Yates, who chairs the Technology group at Morris, Manning & Martin, will speak at two upcoming national conferences. Practising Law Institute (PLI), a leading provider of continuing legal education, will host events titled TechLaw Institute 2016: The Digital Evolution, in San Francisco and New York.

Yates is a pioneer in technology law. His presentation on Emerging, Disruptive and Sharing Technologies will cover topics related to the “sharing economy,” the impact of technologies that change the way companies do business, and regulatory and compliance issues.

The first event will be held in San Francisco on March 10 and 11, 2016. The program will also be available live online via webcast. The New York event will be April 6 and 7.

The conference is designed for technology and intellectual property lawyers, in-house and outside counsel, and others who need to stay current in this rapidly-evolving area of law. Other topics on the agenda include the virtual workplace, technology’s impact on law, cybersecurity and data breaches, ethics, the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, marketing, advertising and social media.
