Mitigating Real Estate Risks in a Slow Economy

Washington D.C. (September 19, 2022) - A slowing economy can be bad news for the real estate sector. In an article MMM’s Bonnie Hochman Rothell wrote for commercial real estate news outlet GlobeSt.com, she notes that legal problems associated with recessions can be long-lasting and expensive. But – there’s hope. She says learning from the past can help prevent problems in the future.

“Despite the cloud of doom that may be looming amongst many commercial lenders and developers, a recession can actually bring opportunity,” Rothell writes. “Some of the risks can even be mitigated with careful planning.”
